“College Try” Guild

<College Try> is a new semi-hardcore progression guild raiding two days a week, on Tuesday and Thursdays, at 7-11PM PST on Kil'Jaeden. Off-nights are used for trial runs of farm content, mythic keystone weekly requirements, and helping farm necessary gear.

We are composed of a multi-guild merger (12/15/16) with extremely experienced leadership from Top 25 US guilds and the like. Our goal is create a focused, yet relaxed af environment with a streamlined raid experience based around performance. We are always open to recruits from every role (including potential core merges) as we believe in the continuous motivation to improve. No spot is guaranteed, not even for leadership, and it is expected that every raider is constantly trying to push their skill a little higher.

You are expected to know your theorycrafting, have the correct spec for each fight, and be able to adapt to new patches and mechanics flawlessly. We foster a community of expertise where we are always trying to help each other know more and perform better. Logs are used extensively to find better ways to min/max.

Basics

Attendance: It is expected that you are able to make raids, but we realize real life is a priority, so we do not hold that against raiders as long as they give fair warning. Unnotified absences will be considered part of performance.

Loot: Council. Typically BiS > ilvl > performance. Whatever is best for overall guild progression.

Comms: Discord. Used for logs, addons, and daily discussion.

Addons: Exorsus Raid Tools, DBM, RC Loot Council, Keyed.

Application Process: PM an officer and we'll take it from there. We're pretty casual. Make sure you have logs. We don't care what addons you use outside of the very few, or what your UI looks like, or what boy band you prefer. All we care is that you do your job well and aren't dramatic.

Our culture: We're a random assortment of casual and friendly folks with jokes. A lot of us are mature, have full time jobs, wives, kids, cats, or fleshlights. We're not toxic or ragey, so leave that at the door. We're just here to work smarter, not harder and melt content.

We run a very efficient raid. Invites start 15 minutes ahead of raid time and chain pulls on the clock. We have one set break during raid, so you can plan your bio/etc requirements. Wipe turnarounds are lightning-fast. We're here to make sure you get your money's worth and don't feel like other players are holding you back.
