“Afterlife” Guild

Afterlife - A Bronze Dragonflight guild is currently recruiting most classes for Ulduar hard modes and beyond.

We are aiming to strengthen our roster after recently taking a hit from a stream of members leaving the game, despite this we have managed to recover from the point of not being able to field any heroic raid to continuing work on and killing Yogg-Saron (25).

Who are we?
Afterlife is a guild that has been around on Bronze Dragonflight for a considerable amount of time, and despite having undergone a large variety of changes both in terms of leadership, guild principles and goals, we are still here and we intend to keep it that way.

Despite popular opinion on BDF, we are not super hardcore and antisocial. The core of the guild is probably closer than most other guilds, and as long as your a reasonable player and not too sensitive to bad language you'll probably love Afterlife.

We are not the original definition of a Hardcore guild, we do not raid seven days a week for 6 hours a night, many of our members have families, successful jobs and active social lives outside of raiding hours. We take raiding to a serious but relaxed level, we do not eat the heads of people that fail even once or shout at them without first offering advice on how to deal with mistakes.

Where are we in current progression?
Tier 8: Ulduar
10 Man: 13/14 (7/13 Glory)
25 Man: 13/14 (1/13 Glory)

What is our raiding schedule and what is required?
We raid five nights per week (Sun-Thu) 6:40pm - 10pm GMT (7:40pm - 11pm Game Time) and ask for a minimum 75% attendance which is 4 nights per week approximately, exceptions may be made in the case of exceptional applicants.

What do we require from you?
- We have an age limit of 18+, however exceptions may be made in regards of mature players aged 16-17
- You must be a Team Player, your first and foremost concern is not what you want, but what the raid as a whole needs
- Solid & Reliable hardware and internet connection, speed of your connection is irrelevant but your reliability is important
- Skill and focus, you need to be able to put your attention into a raiding scenario and stay focused even in the face of hours of wiping
- Exceptional knowledge of your class in a PvE context and a willingness to research and always improve, We expect people to fully understand their class and not know it only as it was when they first did their research
- Motivated by progression, this is a hugely important factor. If you are motivated purely by loot then you need not apply, Afterlife has always been about the content, not the rewards
- Willingness to accept criticism and use it to improve your gameplay, if you fail at something we would expect you to take heed to any advice given to avoid that mistake again

What about my gear and raiding experience?
It is hugely desired and will give you a much better chance with your application if you have both a good level of gear and previous raiding experience either in the current content tier or the previous. This does not mean that you cannot apply if you have no gear or raiding experience or neither however, players applying with poor gear or experience will need to convince us that you’re a solid investment, we firmly believe that there are plenty of great players out there who have never had a real chance and this would be your opportunity to prove it.
