“Valour” WoW Guild

Valour is a social raiding guild. We started as a small guild back in August 2008. We have our emphasis on social. We are a nice guild to be in and people who understand what we are about rarely leave once they join. Sometimes they do, but they always come back :P.

As far as raiding goes, we only started stand alone 25 man raiding in March 2009. We did not mass recruit (eg trade channel recruiting), but simply grew slowly from a group of about 20-30 friends. Most people that join are friends of members or are from raiding with us in pugs. There is absolutely no pressure to raid in Valour, however we do use EPGP loot system (10% decay), so the people who raid most and who are on standby for raids obviously gear up quickest and form the core of our raiding contingent. Raiding members are expected to come prepared and to be keen to improve. We run quite successful raids and although we weren't ready for Ulduar 25 when it hit, we still managed to clear the normal modes pre Crusader's Colliseum (CC). In CC we have cleared the normal modes quite easily the weeks they hit and on 10 man have made nice progress on hard modes both in Ulduar (all but zero lights) and CC (tribute to mad skill). We currently raid 25 mans 3-4 nights per week 8-12pm: Tues (if we have the numbers), Wed, Fri and Sun nights. We clear CC 25 Wed night (~40 min), then we do a couple hours on heroic mode. We also raid Onyxia 25 on Wed night and occasionally do something different like OS+3D for example. We usually raid Ulduar 25 Fri night in order to still clear it (for fragments mostly) and gear alts, however now that Shimba has 30 fragments we may look at doing some more hard modes. We also raid CC25 heroic Sun night (and Tues night if possible). So far we have 3/5 on heroic CC25.

Our membership is a very diverse one, with some very active members and some not so active. Most actually have RLs :P. We are a friendly guild and we value respect and consideration above all things; towards guildies and non guildies alike. We have just the one guild rule: Treat people with respect and consideration, which is not negotiable.

Recruitment of raiders is open! We would like to recruit just a few raiders who will be fairly active and reliable. We are mainly looking for high quality ranged dps. At the moment we are considering applications from most ranged dps classes: you would need to be at least geared for CC25 normal modes and a quality raider who is active and keen.
