Loot FTW is an old guild with history reaching back to Molten Core
in vanilla wow. Noteable achievements since then include a world
5th kill of C'thun in Ahn'Qiraj, world 5th kill of Thaddius in
Naxxramas (the real naxxramas!), a top 10 world kill of Lady Vashj
and a world 11th kill of Kil'jaeden in Sunwell. Recent history
includes a world 8th Immortal achievement, a european first Hodir
kill, world 11th Yogg-Saron (with a world 9th kill of One light in
the Darkness) and a world 12th hardmode thorim. We were also world
22nd on killing firefighter, and thus also world 22nd to unlock
Algalons room. We also have Alone in the Darkness completed, and
are thus completely done with Ulduar. We have currently defeated
all the hardmodes in Argent Coliseum including a Tribute to
Insanity and are currently working on a Tribute to Immortality. As
you can see from our history, we can provide you with a stable
guild that is capable of accomplishing great things in the World of
Warcraft. For a peak at some of our history, visit
http://www.lootftw.com/movies.php.
Several of our members have been with us since the creation of the guild, including the majority of our officer team. We pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere where having fun and raiding hardcore goes hand in hand. We believe that the key to success lies in ensuring that our members enjoy the time they spend in the game, be it on pull 150 of an "impossible" boss, on an easy farm-run or even just herbing and chatting in guildchat.
What we require from our applicants:
[*] Skill. You need to know what you are doing, both with regards to optimizing the performance of your own character and in terms of functioning in a team.
[*] Dedication. You need to be willing to spend hours and hours raiding, to go on when most others would quit. What we do most of the time is wiping, and if this is a problem for you, then don't bother applying.
[*] Communication. You need to be able to both listen and talk on ventrilo. You also need to be able to handle criticism, both giving and receiving.
[*] Social intelligence. We spend a lot of time together, and for everyone to be able to have a good time it is important that you know how to interact with other people without causing too much tension.
In addition to the above points, previous experience with hardcore raiding is also a plus. Other base qualities that are not included, such as being punctual and honest are also obviously requirements.
As our raiding core consists of both students, unemployed and employed people, our raiding times are set so as to make it possible to both play on a high level in WoW and keep a job or succeed at school. During progress we raid 5 days per week, from 1845 going on to midnight or a few hours over midnight.
The classes we are currently looking for are:
[*] Druid (Restoration)
[*] Paladin (Holy)
[*] Hunter
We are also very interested in exceptional tank applications.
Please note that we are always on the lookout for exceptional players, so even if your class is not among the ones listed above, do not be afraid to contact us or send us an application.
For more information, please check our website www.lootftw.com. For further questions you might have, pm Darchon on our forums or ingame (forums are preferred). We also have an irc channel, #lootftw on quakenet.
