“Barbiegirlz” Guild

Greetings fellow WoW-players!

BGz history:

Barbiegirlz is a guild, and a concept that has been around for quite a while. And with the upcoming changes to the loot system regarding 10man guilds, now more than ever is the perfect oppertunity to go the full mile!
Barbiegirlz is a light hearted but yet serious guild, and thus the ironic guildname.

So what am I rambling on about?

Well, Barbiegirlz actually first started as a 10man guild, allready during TBC expansion with intents to do WotLK 10man progress. Where an awesome atmosphere, having fun, with seriously skilled people was the goal. And you know what? We succeeded!

On the realm Twilight's Hammer we gathered funny, light-minded, and yet well skilled players:

We had players that were in the top 15 guilds of killing KJ
Some players that had world record on BT speed run (pre nerfs)
And several more people who has been in top notch hardcore guilds with great progression, competing for realm firsts and high on world first lists.

BGz mindset:

What we all felt from these "hardcore" guilds was that they had some issues:

1. They raid too much, I wanna do other stuff. (Dilemma: But if u raid less the guild/guildmembers don't perform as well as hardcore guildmembers)

2. Atmosphere is too harsh. Sure some core players seem to have fun, but officers are constantly nagging and picking on the members, I want to have fun!

So we decided to do something about it!

Adressing issue #1:
We raid 3 times per week. Period. We do extend raids sometimes, but never for silly reasons.
Being very selective with what players we accept into the guild ensures we get the skills, and the atmopshere we want.

Adressing issue #2:
We don't accept applicants that revolve around skill only. We have actually declined players from Europe top 20 guilds, just because they are too stuck up, and can't take this game for what it is... a GAME. With that being said, the officers in BGz will never "in your face" you, try to humiliate you, or in anyway treat you unjust.
Sure disputes can arise, they are solved however in a constructive and harmonic discussion between whoever involved.

Sounds like Nirvana, too goo to be true? Well it is not!

So...! if you are interested in BGz you need to posses the following:

- Great personality, and don't take things too seriously.

- Great individual and team-player skills.

- Willingness to improve yourself, both inside and outside of the game.

- Be familiar with various of sites and blogs such as MMO, EJ, WoW-I, etc.

- Have an "us" thinking. What happens is for the greater good of the guild, leave your individual e-peen to the 14 year olds.
