We will not pass up exceptional players. Please apply if you feel that you fall into this category.
Hunter: Be able to do outstanding DPS and back it up with extensive combat log parses.
Priest: Any spec is fine, being able to DPS and Heal is a bonus.
Elemental Shaman: Be able to do outstanding DPS, a off-spec is not necessary.
Resto or Enhance Shaman: Looking for someone who is versatile enough to play at least two specs, a third is bonus. Gear for off-spec(s) is not an issue, we will help you become a tri-spec Shaman.
Warlock: Please have a stable internet connection and be able to focus on a specific task, ie. Shadow Strike interrupts.
Arms Warrior: Looking for a warrior who will willingly play the more difficult and lower DPS spec to help raid DPS. Having experience and gear for tanking is a bonus.
Guild History
Fated Succession is a raiding guild on Mal’Ganis (PvP), the most progressed server in the US. The guild was created on April 16th, 2009 which was in conjunction with the release of Ulduar (3.1). Although the name may be new to the community, the player base is not. Fated Succession was formed by the active officers and raid team within Keen Formation, an active raiding guild since November 2004. A significant amount of our current roster date back to WoW original while many others have been here since TBC. Therefore, the guild name is new, yet the raid team is experienced. Consequently, Fated Succession is a guild focused primarily on raiding while still having a a player base that is social and interested in other activities in WoW such as PvP and achievements.
Here is a quick break down of out most recent relevant progression. In TBC the raid team cleared Black Temple in January ‘08. We continued to have success in SWP by notching top 250 US kills of Kalecgos, Brutallus, and Eredar Twins. After those kills, we were hindered by arguably the most difficult boss in WoW history in M’uru. However, the raid team persevered and finished the zone after the release of 3.0 and cleared SWP while looking forward to the new expansion. Most recently, our raid team has met WotLK with a good amount of success by clearing all of the Heroic boss encounters in our first night of attempts as well as obtaining “Twilight Vanquisher” titles in January ‘09. Furthermore, almost the entirety of the raid team as well as socials earned their Plagued Proto-Drakes and we look forward to doing the same in Ulduar while bettering our performance.
Looking forward, we are all excited to create a name for Fated Succession. We plan to do this by being an achievement driven guild that likes to have fun, yet knows when to focus and get things done. We are a semi-casual guild, yet we like to compete with some of the best guilds in the US on Mal’Ganis. We will never get any world or server firsts, but we take pride in the way we play and expect to do well each and every raid night. If you share the same attitude, then please fill out an application or talk to an officer.
Guild Culture
Fated Succession is a social raiding guild focused on end-game progression. As such, we have a 25-man raid team composed of ~35 active raiders. Our raids are mostly laid back with jokes being cracked on trash, yet 25 people pull together to focus for any and all boss encounters to achieve whatever goal may lie before us that night. Raiders are expected to be educated and well prepared for whatever task may be undertaken. No expense should be spared on improving your character especially since the guild bank assists with repairs and consumables.
We also have a good amount of socials (former raiders, friends, family, etc.) that are in guild and enjoy all that WoW has to offer. All these various players are typically college-aged or older with the majority leaning towards the latter. We try to maintain an enjoyable and respectful atmosphere for everyone. This wide array of players brings in a variety of guild chat and vent conversations that range from the newest Sundance film, financial news of the day, to light-hearted “your mom” jokes. Expect the unexpected.
Raid Schedule and Attendance
Fated Succession raids progression content on the following days
Monday 7:00pm-11:00pm
Tuesday 7:00pm-11:00pm
Wednesday 7:00pm-11:00pm
Thursday 7:00pm-11:00pm
All times are server time (ST) which is Central Standard Time (CST). We will only be raiding all 4 days when the guild is focusing on progression and/or achievements while rarely going past scheduled end time. Additionally, the schedule will likely be reduced to as little as 1-2 nights once all applicable achievements are accomplished.
Our guild has no formal attendance policy as all of our raiders like to raid and are online to do so whenever humanly possible. However, if you cannot make at least 50% of the raids, it would make little sense for you to be part of the team. All of our raiders are responsible and communicate to the guild via forums if they expect any change in their expected attendance whether it be a change that night or something more long term.
