Thank you for your interest in Stellar -- before you begin your application, we ask that you familiarize yourself with our guild. Please read this page to its entirety. Failure to read, may result in your application being denied.

Who Are We?

Stellar started off as a small group gamers back in Orcs and Humans, then EverQuest and finally World of Warcraft. Through the years, we have evolved into a group of skilled, dedicated friends who strive for success and overcome whatever is put in front of us. We are one of the 27 or so guilds to successfully clear Naxxramas, and naturally still known for this feat.

Although we are a fairly "new remake", most of the core players are from top West parsing guilds dating back to Vanilla, BC and Wrath.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guild Leadership

Our philosophy is to have a very strong leadership presence that interacts with the guild as a whole while, most importantly, leading as equals and not as superiors, primarily providing direction rather than barking orders. Without you there is no guild -- you are just as important as we are. Good communication keeps a guild strong. As such, we have our Officers compartmentalized with each having their respective duty.

Officers:

  • Dexter: Melee Officer
  • Kargo: Range/Healing Officer
  • Rassilon: Range Officer
  • Sadistica: Healing Officer

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raiding Schedule

The raid schedule is based on Central Standard Time (CST). While we do not expect applicants to be online for every raid from start to finish, we do expect a minimum of 90% overall attendance. Please note that this is the absolute minimum. Additionally, trials are encouraged to participate in off-hour activities as it allows members to get a better idea of your skills as a player -- and possibly as a person.

Raid invites start roughly 15 minutes prior to our raid start time. We expect that, unless otherwise noted, that anyone who can be on at invite start will be available for the raid.

We raid three nights a week -- Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays -- from 7:00pm CST to 12:00pm CST.

  • Tuesday: 7:00pm CST -- 10:30pm CST
  • Wednesday: 7:00pm CST -- 10:30pm CST
  • Thursday: 7:00pm CST -- 10:30pm CST

During progression content, we will push our raids later (read: 12:30-1:00am CST) depending on our progression level.

We do not want our raiders to treat this game like a full-time job. We understand your real life responsibilities comes first. However, we play on limited time, we want to make the most of it; ergo, we expect everyone to be on-time, engage on the forums on strat discussions and most importantly be on top of your class and current content at hand.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Loot System

We currently handle progression loot strictly via Loot Council. Raids attended and items received are tracked meticulously through an old school DKP system as to prevent any exploits. The benefits of this system are quite obvious, especially on a game like World of Warcraft -- the more you put into the guild, the more you will get out of it.

Loot is additionally distributed based on these factors:

Attendance > Performance > Class Desirability

If you have any further concerns regarding this topic, please feel free to message an Officer.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our Expectations

Basic Requirements

  • A Stable Internet Connection: If it is common for you to disconnect when you do half a lap around your Garrison, we might not be the guild for you. Your computer and connection need to be able to handle both current and future content.
  • Communication: You must be able to both use and speak in Mumble.
  • Gear: While it is not necessary to have best in slots in every slot, it is expected that your current gear reflect the dedication you possess as a raider -- as such, we expect you to have a minimum item level of 695 and a 715 Legendary ring -- and is properly enchanted and gemmed reflecting your current spec.
  • Intelligence: We do not expect you to be God's gift to humanity, but we do require that you are able to coherently form thoughts and communicate effectively. Additionally, we expect maturity and professionalism; we are very interested in players who care as much about their guild's reputation as we do.

Desired Traits

  • Personality: We want individuals who are skilled but, more importantly, we want someone that we can tolerate on and off raiding several days per week. Again, raiding with us is not a job -- you cannot put your headphones and ignore the individual in the cubicle next to you. That is not how we work. You are very much part of the environment. You're able to cut loose, but know when to pull yourself together and focus.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trial Period

Basic Information

  • Applicants and members alike are required to maintain 90% attendance or better.
  • Applicants are NOT entitled to loot -- period. You are here to make member, not get geared.
  • Your trial is a subjective period of time as determined by the Officers, typically lasting from as little as two weeks to as long as a four.

Application Process:

  • After you submit an application, it will be copied to a private forum for our guild members to submit feedback. After feedback is provided, if we are interested, we will contact you via forums (or in-game) to set up a mumble interview. After the interview, if you are accepted, you will be tagged as a Trial.

  • If you are accepted as a trial, you will be provided with all necessary information, addons, strats and other particulars that you need to know. Additionally, you will be assigned a certain Role Leader to bounce ideas off of on your specific Role, i.e. Healer, Ranged, Melee, etc.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Final Note

Please keep in mind that we do not know you and your application is your first impression to us. Take your time filling out the application and provide as much information as you can. We do not care if you have best in slots or have 25000+ achievement points -- if it looks like you spent 30 seconds doing your application, do not be surprised if we spend less than that declining; if it is written poorly, we are going to assume that you take the same attitude towards raiding: that is, little to no effort.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, thank you for your interest. And if you still have any further questions, please feel free to message any of the Officers for more information.
