Amount of Pulls on WoWProgress!

WoWProgress is now tracking amount of pulls on different bosses for all guilds and characters!
1. Go to guild page.
2. Progression table contains new column: Pulls.
3. Click "+show".

It will show raid setup including:
- characters that killed the boss
- replaced characters that didn't participated in the first kill
- amount of pulls for each character!

Here is some info about amount of pulls that did the top guilds before killing heroic bosses.

Will of the Emperor Heroic 25-man
1. Method 108 pulls
2. Envy 46 pulls
3. vodka 76 pulls
4. Blood Legion 107 pulls

Grand Empress Shek'zeer Heroic 25-man
1. Blood Legion 85 pulls
2. Method 156 pulls
3. Wraith 109 pulls
4. vodka 125 pulls

Will of the Emperor Heroic 10-man

3. solid line 58 pulls
4. Die Hordlinge 59 pulls

Grand Empress Shek'zeer Heroic 10-man

2. Freak Me Out 111
3. КрашТест 147 pulls

Note: no all guilds have been updated yet. If you see the info is missing, press the "Update Guild Progress" button.

Update:
As the data has been removed from the API by Blizzard, we had to disable the feature now.

Great feature, thanks! Any way you could add some kind of overview page per boss to see who has the best performance pulls-wise on a specific boss?

These data seems to be inaccurate. Maybe is sums all pulls in nHC and HC together?

Some of this information is defintiely inaccurate. For example, for Will of the Emperor some people in my guild are counted as having 92-93 pulls, but we killed that biss in one night of attempts, about 30-40 at most. Also, there are people who were in for every attempt before we killed it that have less than the full number. Definitely not correct, both in terms of numbers and player by player breakdown.

Some other bosses seem accurate though so it's definitely a bug with specific encounters.

Are you now factoring in the amount of pulls in the ranking scores? For example in a given week:
Guild A goes in on Tuesday and kills a boss in 30 pulls
Guild B goes in on Wednesday and kills the same boss in 25 pulls

As it is now, Guild A gets more points for killing the boss "sooner" and is ahead of guild B. Guild B is at a disadvantage because they raid on wednesday instead of tuesday. Factoring the amount of pulls would be a more accurate/even way of ranking (in addition to when a boss was killed).

    Great feature

Should just take it all the way to its logical conclusion and make a ranking that only takes into account number of pulls, not time (or day or week) of kill.

Not sure if you're serious, but you'd still have to take lockout (week #) into account since everyone has more gear (and boss nerfs) as each week goes by.

While it's fun to think about (I also raid in a guild that has a limited schedule), you can't completely discount that earlier kills are accomplished at lower gear levels and with less proliferation of information.

    Still, I love this feature.

Is there any way we can have this feature for bosses a guild has not killed?

For example, we've been wiping on the first boss of HoF, and I'd like to know how many times we've wiped.

Great feature by the way :D

Stone Kings HC we are counted as having 5 pulls, but we killed them in about 2-3 pulls.

@alykii Its a different if you have to find a taktik for the boss or you have already 3-4 videos from the top guilds to adept. It would be really hard to calculate these fairly.

I meant within the same week a boss goes down, more points should go to the guild that pulled fewer attempts rather than tuesday vs wednesday.

Of course the further away from when the raid is unlocked should also be taken in to account. The guild that killed Grand Empress 3 weeks ago should still be higher than the guild that killed it yesterday.

Intersting feature, but i didn't like it for 1 reason. I pulled the Spirit Kings heroic several times reseting it to avoid Meng or the caster boss. The pull counter doesn't consider a real pull.

An overview would be awesome. Maybe in the boss overview. The number listed there could be the most comon pull count for a kill in the guild for example. You will never get this overview accurate, but it could be a first view so you don't have do look it up in every guild

    How's this data pulled?

I'm already inspired to make something similar to track progress on my own realm, but I don't see any pulls/wipes/deaths to boss(es) defined in the Blizzard API - hence my question.

I also would like to understand where this data is coming from. For a lot of evenings we have multiple people streaming World of Logs logs, to capture data on fights where there is phasing - is this going to have any effect on the WoWProgress pull count #s for our kills?

    This!!

If pull-only rankings aren't possible (that's what I expect..), then it would at least be nice to have some pull-rankings in addition to the actual ones.

It would be interesting to see, per encounter, a histogram / distribution of number attempts before kill. For me, looking at such graphs would be an indicator of expected encounter difficulty.

Something tells me this won't be as keen-o as people think it is. When your guild is struggling because some key players left for whatever reason, you haven't had a chance to replace them yet and your pull count is then higher, how many people will want to join a guild that has 100 pulls on something when another guild that didn't lose anyone has 75 or 50? I can see this killing guilds down the road.

Suggestion: ask for a manifest of the roster for each raid/guild.
It could be automatically generated, or manually edited by the admins of the respective raids.

And it would solve the problem of the "friends & family" wipes being added to the total.

    I had an additional question.
We are a 25man guild but does normal progression bosses in 10man after our 25man week wraps up. In the case of Garalon, we got a 10man kill after several 10 and 25man attempts. When the guild returns for a 25man kill, how will that track/update?

How do you get this info?

For my guild a lot of extra people are appearing that were never in the raid group. For example, my guild's Will of the Emperor kill (http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/eu/xavius/GameSense) only has 7 people who were actually in the raid. The 8th person (showing up as 'not killed') wasn't even in that raid.

Also, is it intentionally not including people who left the guild?

Fine that more features get added on here, but I'd rather see the bugs fixed with the sdisplay of wrong main/alt chars! I'm still showing up as an alt from my boyfriend (who of course has his ver own account!), all my alts are also shown as his alts. Emailed to wowprogress a while ago, no reaction. Please clear that up, my chars are my chars on my account and not on anyone else's!

mh so what I see out of this, there is a guild shown having downed 2 Bosses before us, so they are in front of us in progression, but actually there where only 3 players who had joined another raid to down those bosses.
so even tho only 3 players of a guild kill a boss it gets counted as guildkill. why? :(

The Pulls counter has issues w/ players transferring in that are better progressed. See my current guild - Hahyestwo transferred in with H Elegon and H Gara'jal already downed, so pulls weren't counted for our guild but instead based on his pull count. I guess there's no easy way for you to distinguish though.

Is this feature still functions correctly? It is not tracking any pulls in ToES and not correct for guilds that downed bosses after 5.1.
For example, this guild's Grand Empress Shek'zeer's data is incorrect:
    http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/tw/nightsong/Asgard
I tracked other boss kills after 5.1 and it seems not to gather proper data after a specific time.
