“Idle” Guild

Idle was formed at the end of 09' on the Bladefist server, with the belief that raiding should be a fun, social experience. Our guild caters to people who cant raid the normal 18-19h+, and want to see endgame content. We expect our guild members to be prepared, and to put forward there best effort, but we always remain respectful of the people behind the characters.

We are a group of, dedicated individuals with a hardcore raiding background since pre-tbc who want to see new content. We have a focused raid core, but we don't treat raiding like a second job. Most of our players have families/jobs, and we emphasize a positive, constructive approach towards improving gameplay.

Our approach to raiding is casual in the sense that we are always respectful of our members, and our member's time. We understand if people occasionally have to miss raids due to RL obligations. That being said, we do expect that people show up to raids that they sign up for.

Dps - 1x ranged(Mage or Ele shaman)


What we're looking for:

We aren’t looking for members who are jaded at their last guild over loot or any other drama. We are looking for members that feel that Idle would be a good fit and natural progression for themselves and their characters.

We are ideally looking for exceptional candidates with a broad and successful history of raiding. The more you can convince us you have knowledge and the mindset to function with your character, the more likely we will look your way. However, while raiding experience is sought, those that can learn rapidly bring much more to the table. We can’t fix stupid, but we can certainly teach someone how to raid.

If your availability keeps you from regularly being on at least 90% of these nights for the full duration, Idle is unlikely for you as you will fall behind. We're running a tight core of 10 main raiders with a few backups. That means if you become a "raider" in Idle, you will ALWAYS have a slot in the raid as long as you are available.

Due to the nature of our raid group, it's highly encouraged that everyone levels and gears up one or more alts with different roles. Being able to play multiple classes at a high level of proficiency is a big, big plus.

Raiding Schedule:

We raid 2 days a week with content on farm, and up and to 4days on progress from 22h30-02h. It's a schedule that's different than most, but it's suited for most of us, who work for a living. Usually those days are Thursday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Very rarely some of these days may be changed to accommodate any of the raiders schedule.
