Who are Echoes?

Echoes have been clearing endgame content in World of Warcraft at a steady rate that harks all the way back to Vanilla. We have always resided on the Laughing Skull server as a Horde guild, with a strong and long lasting community of excellent players united under the Echoes banner. Following a strong performance in Cataclysm consistently holding a solid position in the world top 100, and maintaining roughly this level of performance ever since.

Following the server merges, we share our server with a variety of other realms such as Sunstrider & Balnazzar, opening up a larger community and a more lively realm environment in Warlords of Draenor, which remains healthy in Legion.

What are we currently looking for?

We are currently accepting ANY exceptional applicants to the guild with particular emphasis on the following classes to strengthen our roster for Legion:

1x Boomkin or mage (capable of playing all 3 specs if mage).
1x Rogue (who can flexibly play all 3 specs as needed).
1x Holy paladin.

These spots are for progression raiding and will be heavily prioritised pending performance.

We expect everyone to maintain at least one alt character for split raids (any more will be welcome and encouraged should a particular class become very strong, and will be geared for use in main raids). We don’t necessarily expect you to be able to play it as well as your main, but it needs to be serviceable for gear funnelling purposes at the start of the tier. Anyone able to play alts to a high level however will be prioritised and ultimately used in main raids should an encounter require it. Current requirements in Tomb for splits are as follows:

900-905~ Item level
Concordance reached in main artifacts
2 Legendaries (ideally ones that are useful for the spec being used).

Alt raids happen very frequently both on and off time with other players in the guild. These are non-mandatory and can happen sporadically during progress, but following the end of a tier these will become required and players should expect some of the main progress schedule to be filled with alt raid time to keep our roster up to scratch with gear for splits in the following tier. Outside of this, you aren’t forced to play to keep your alts prepared, but a dungeon here or there is encouraged to make sure you can at least pull your weight.

If this interests you, and you are looking at Echoes as a potential home, know that you will need to compete with our current raiders (both in terms of mechanical performance and output) who share the same class/spec/role as you to justify a spot in the progress team. We currently keep our Heroic/Normal logs public, and you can check them here to see how you stack up:

What can Echoes offer me?

-A stable, yet flexible raiding environment in which you can play both competitively and enjoyably in 20 man raid content.

-Progress at a steady, constant, and high end rate.

-A home and community which you are encouraged to be a part of both outside and inside of raids.

-Vibrant and welcoming farm raids as long as you can take some banter from long standing players.

The Echoes Environment:

-Raidspots are awarded based on performance and attendance. Don’t expect to be taken on sub-optimal encounters if you can’t show up for ones you are needed; and naturally you will be competing against others who are consistently trying to earn their spot at the same time.

-If you can prove your worth, Echoes will accept any player regardless of spec. Just have the right attitude and the drive to succeed.

-We organise and encourage alt raids throughout the tier, alongside a healthy Mythic+ environment both for gear farming and key pushing.

Raid Times:

One of the most important factors for raids are stability, and as such we emphasise players are able to attend 90% of all rights, and be on time without question. This also includes being able to stay for the entire raid (though there are intermittent breaks throughout all of our raid times so players aren’t forced to sit still for the entire evening). If you don’t feel you could consistently make these, then Echoes will not suit you

Wednesday: 20:00 - 23:30
Thursday: 20:00 - 23:30
Sunday: 20:00 - 23:30
Monday: 20:00 - 23:30

Following Nighthold, we are now on a 4 day schedule down from the previous 5. We do, however, keep the 5th day for the first two weeks of Mythic raids just to ensure split raids are cleanly competed without sacrificing any Mythic progression. Whilst many guilds will state that the extra days are “non-mandatory” heroic raids, we all know that means “if you want purps you have to turn up”, so we just state it upfront: an extra day to make sure farm is completed adequately while new content is fresh.

Invites start 15 minutes before the above stated raid start time. That means we have a 15 minute gathering up period before the first pull to sort out the raid, allow for people logging on late, setup adjustments and other nuances. We encourage people to be outside the instance prior to invites so as to be mentally prepared for the mindset of raiding - going straight from Orgrimmar to the instance doesn't usually result in a very focused raid.

Where do I apply?

Please head to http://echoes.enjin.com/ and feel free to browse at your leisure. Our application process is detailed on our website in the recruitment section should you find yourself interested. If you consider yourself exceptional and feel you can challenge our current raiders, then do not let our class-based recruitment hinder you, we welcome the opportunity to integrate top-quality players into our roster. Gear and logs are typically not an issue - the transfer fee is your money: if you think you can prove yourself in a trial we will usually give you one. However, do note that during progression we will not be farming old content (or any content) to gear you up unless you are deemed worthy of it - if you apply during progression you will need to have sufficient gear to dive into new content and logs to prove your ability. After months of farming and fine-tuning, we typically have a very strong roster, so unless you can outperform our current raiders on progress, you may struggle.

If you have any questions or queries or would like more info, please do not hesitate to contact any officer in-game or via a PM on our website - whatever works for you.

See you soon, and hopefully in Echoes!
