“Overzealous” Guild

Introduction

We're a guild run by players who wish to still achieve Cutting Edge (CE) but also give value to a more laid-back atmosphere. Our primary goal remains achieving CE status before the tier ends (ideally with time to farm as well), but we aim to do so within a friendly environment.

Our vision is to have a stable and resilient team for the long term. We're committed to maintaining a roster of dedicated players who share our passion for raiding and having a great time in-game and outside of it.

All those who wish to join us and can commit 2 days a week for raids and have some fun, you are more than welcome.


Raiding Schedule

• Times: 19:45 to 23:00
  All raiders are expected to be online at least 5 min before the invites, so we can start as quickly as possible.
  
• Days: Thursday and Sunday
  At the start of each tier, we add Wednesday as a raiding day for the first few weeks, just to give us a head start.
  
• Attendance Policy: We don't require 100% attendance as we understand things come up, and you might have to skip a raid or two, but we ask you to let us know on our discord. Please inform us at least a day or 2 in advance. Unless something urgent comes up last second. We understand RL has prio over game.
  
• Even though we only raid two nights, our raiders are expected to prepare for the fights outside raid time (reading up a guide, watching videos and following the tactics thread on discord)
  

Recruitment

Even if your class/spec is not listed in the recruitment, don't be afraid to reach out. We do try to accommodate players that wish to be part of our community, regardless of what spec/class they play.

As a trial:

• have an up-to-date character, be geared and optimized as much as possible,
  
• know your class and be willing to accept criticism to improve your gameplay,
  
• a positive attitude, our success as a guild comes off the back of our member's ability to work as a team - we do not cater for the individual.
  

Every guild and team will have its ups and downs, what gets us through it and has given us our great success is our ability to stick together and ride it out. Loyalty, patience and foresight are key attributes we look for in applicants.


What we can offer

While, the best way of discovering what it is like to be a part of Overzealous is to actually go ahead and apply to us. Until then, below are some things you can expect when becoming a part of our community.

• Professional, well-organized raids. Raiding is at the heart of what we do, and we take it seriously. Even tho we might joke around on trash and in the raids.
  
• Loyalty. We do things together as a community, which is why we ask that from all our members in return.
  
• Guild repairs! (and once we enter mythic raids we offer full guild bank with pots, flasks, food, enchants, etc.)
  
• Fun even outside of raids. We do m+, lvl alts and on other occasions we even try our luck in other games.

We accept socials willing to join a raiding team at a later point, but wish to get to know the guild's community beforehand.
