**********History**********

<Spontaneous Combustion> was formed Mid-August 2011 by a transferring Hardcore raider/gamer, Andaron, in the hopes of competing with the best of the best in World of Warcraft. The move from his original server, in which he spent his first four years of playing on, was sparked by the multitudes of lackluster raid performance and non-existent guild progression competition. Slingky, Andaron's best bud (IRL of course) helped to push the idea over the brink as well as provide the majorly kick-ass name you see infront of you today. Undoubtedly, without Slingky's urging, this guild would not exist.

That shove was all Andaron needed. From there he set about recruiting and came in contact with Burgsten and a multitude of his friends who transferred over to Illidan around the same time and who were also all looking for a place to raid. Andaron set about further recruiting to build the ranks up into the marvelous raiding and progression guild you see today.

**********The Skinny**********

<Spontaneous Combustion> is dedicated to pushing hardcore progression while maintaining a seemingly casual schedule. The only way this can efficiently happen is if we have the best of the best and brightest of the brightest. As such, raid spots are HIGHLY competitive. The occasional learning-curve wipes are to be expected, but continually causing wipes and failing at the same mechanic over and over without showing improvement is not tolerated and could lead to a loss of raid spot until you prove you can learn and adapt without your hand being held.

We expect your best, and want you to expect our best. A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. You don't want to be that link unless being such includes only one small, recoverable fault (ie: "surfing" on Ragnaros.) Truthfully, if that's the worst we have to deal with and only once every blue moon, it's understandable. The more you put into this guild, the more you will definitely get out of it.

**********Guild Information**********

Raid times are as follows:
Tuesday: 10p - 2a
Wednesday: 10p - 2a
Monday: 10p - Farm Content Completed

***Raids may start earlier, but will never go past 2:00a server.
****We also host OPTIONAL weekend raids. These currently consist of T11 HM's, H FL 7/7 Clears, and Alt DS 10m Clears (w/Heroics as well).

**********Loot System**********

Loot is distributed via an Officer Loot Council (or at this point, a "Council" that includes the GM as the Judge AND Jury) with minds on Guild rank, longevity, and performance. While we do use a loot council, we also follow the mindset that each raider is allowed one piece of loot prior to getting a second UNLESS no one else in the raid needs said piece of loot. This assures fair and even loot distribution and helps benefit the guild and raid as a whole. Furthermore, trials are NOT cut out of loot at all. They are equally considered.

Now while this may create some discrepancies with loot or make some members feel "alienated" because they think they may be continually passed on loot for whatever reason, due note that this is not the case. We also pay attention to how much each raider has gotten each separate week as well as performance and dedication. Furthermore, chances are if we down a boss one week, we will down it in following weeks. If you stick around long enough you WILL receive your loot, guaranteed. Complain, whine, and just plain be disagreeable one week and chances are we will remember that negative attitude and likely skip over you for the next piece in favor of someone more cooperative. Remember, Loot doesn't make the raider. The raider makes the loot. You can always gear up, but you can never "teach" exceptional awareness and performance.

In the near future, loot will be looking to change to an EPGP system.
