The plan:

We are a group of former hardcore raiders that have returned to the game out of boredom and anticipation for the upcoming expansion. Though we come from different backgrounds of raiding, we share the same hunger for progression. The difference that we want to establish in the upcoming expansion (When compared to WOTLK) is the time we put into the game.

WE HAVE LIVES and would like to continue to maintain them. But we also like to "have our cake and eat it too." In other words, even with a more casual schedule, we still want to maintain advanced progression in a hardcore environment while not investing too much time into the game. This CAN be achieved.

Since 10 and 25 man raids will drop the same level of loot, a dedicated 10-man raid group will not have the pain of depending on 15 other people to show up to a raid. It will also allow for maximum clarity when diagnosing problems(Causes of wipes, mistakes, etc) during an actual boss fight. In order to do this, we have formed a hardcore 10-man guild as WOTLK finishes to prepare for these upcoming changes. A set raid group, established before the expansion arrives, is essential for a great start in progression as Cataclysm begins.

For the most part, we're newly formed(Kinda) and currently are finishing our ICC10 HM drake achievements. This has been done without the dependency of ICC25man gear. Though it may not be considered "premier end-of-game" content, HMICC10 gives us a template to make preparations for the upcoming expansion. These preparations allows us to evaluate what talent we currently have, what we need in choice of specific classes based on spec, and how we need to improve ourselves as an efficient hardcore raid group.

Raid times:

Our raid times are as follows; they can change due to the content left in a raid lockout OR availability of raid members. We do our best to keep our schedule casual/non-demanding/ and consistent, so this schedule should not be considered "defined" when the "number of raiding hours per week" is questioned. It is only meant to give an idea of WHEN are raid times based on potential raid nights and selected time frames:

Tuesday: 10pm - 12/1am (Eastern time)
Wednesday: 10pm - 12/1am(Eastern time)
Thursday: 10pm - 12/1am (Eastern time)
Sunday: 10pm - 12/1am(Eastern time)
Monday: Optional

Raid members are expected to make the majority of the week's raid times unless that raid member informs the guild otherwise (We understand, you have a life). However, that raid member's absence will be noted to deter "carrying" through content. Showing up at the beginning of the week for farm-able content and being consistently absent for progression is inexcusable.

Requirements:

Make no mistake, even though we are taking it easy when it comes to time invested into the game, we are still a HARDCORE raiding guild. Just like in any other successful hardcore raiding guild, raid members are expected to have the ability to learn a fight based on the proposed strategy being used, as well as correcting mistakes when they need to be corrected. Mistakes may be pointed out by the means of criticism if it is necessary by the raid leader(s). We do not take kindly to consistent acts of stupidity or lack of common sense. If the best way to deter such faults is this use of "verbal motivation", criticism may be used. Raid members are expected to have the maturity to understand that such verbal judgments are meant to improve the state of the raid and the play of the player, not to attack them.

Loot distribution is not and will not be an issue since the raid will be very diverse by class. We give by base of need. However, being a loot whore will not be tolerated.

Our first priority is progression. That is followed by other rewards such as achievements and gear. Therefore, if a raid member is not in a raid and does not get an achievement or a piece of gear, other chances for that goal will be available soon after. Selfishness due to personal agenda will be looked down upon.

Current Needs:
DPS with healing offspecs (All classes will be considered)
Warlock
DPS Deathknight

Please send me an in-game mail or whisper for more information.

We are located on the server of Lightbringer which is in the Pacific time zone.
