RAID TIMES
Monday - 8:00-11:00 PST
Tuesday - 8:00-11:00 PST
Wednesday - 8:00-11:00 PST
An additional day of raiding may be added to the raid week if we are close to a progression kill (this happens very rarely). The time is generally Thursdays and consists of the same time of 8:00 - 11:00 PST.
EXPECTATIONS
We expect all players to know the fights in and out, and how to utilize their class in the best possible way. We expect mistakes to happen, however, we also expect players to learn from mistakes. Simple things like reforging, flasks, pots, food, enchanting, and turning in coins should all be done or obtained before raid times. Players SHOULD know what is BiS for them, and be prepared to provide recent world of logs for review.
We are looking for players that:
-Are mature (ZERO drama will be tolerated)
-Are reliable (attending all raids)
-Can follow basic instructions
-Doesn't die often (Uses personal CD's + healthstones at pivotal times)
-Research boss mechanics and are able to execute them with minimal explanation or practice
-Maximize the use of their class/spec to support the raid progression (changes specs/reforges/gems for specific progression encounters)
LOOT DISTRIBUTION
Loot will be distributed via a combination of priority (MS, SG, etc)/ilevel management/rolls, as our general gearing philosophy is that benefit of the overall raid is much greater than any one individual to ensure that we can progress through the content. However, we reserve the right to override the loot distribution process as necessary based on the needs of the raid as a whole (tier tokens for tanks and healers, trinkets, weapons, rare drop items, ilevel discrepancies, etc). We will not waste time trying to theory craft/sim each piece of loot to determine who will benefit slightly more from the item due to stat optimization.
The focus of the raid is progression and to have a good time doing it; the gear will always follow as there is always more and always better. If you are applying to the guild for loot then this IS NOT the team for you. We do our best to distribute loot evenly and to benefit overall raid progression. If there is a VALID discrepancy with how the loot was distributed, please address this with the loot master versus the individual receiving the loot. If anyone harasses or creates issues over loot, whether it is via whispers or in mumble, you will be removed from the raid. Trials typically will not receive loot over raiders under almost all circumstances.
Some general rules regarding loot distribution:
• Main Spec (MS) > Side Grade (SG) > Off Spec (OS) > Transmog (TM)
• We aren't concerned with how many items someone wins a night, as it's all a wash eventually
• Tanks and healers will have tier token priority in any new tier, provided the set bonuses are useful (will be determined at begining of each tier)
• OS tanks and healers will have priority on all OS items
• ilevel of all eliglble parties will be considered when Warforged items drop
• If a class is unable to benefit from all of the stats on a given item, it will likely not go to that class (i.e. warlocks rolling on spirit gear just for ilevel upgrade, etc)
• Gear with any hit on it will go to dps first and gear with any spirit on it will go to healers (and those few dps classes that can utilize spirit) first. Gear without any hit or spirit can go to either dps or healers
• For the first month or two in a new tier gear will only be distributed for MS, with the only exception being gear for an OS tank or healer. The unused gear will be disenchanted for the crafting mats, to craft gear upgrades for raiders only (No ALTs)
• 2Hand (2H) Weapons v.s Main Hand (MH)/Off Hand (OH) Weapon pairs – If a healer or DPS (Warriors (Spec dependent) and Rogues excluded) receives a 2H weapon, they will be ineligible to receive a MH or OH item of the same ilevel until all other eligible healers or DPS have either a 2H or MH/OH combo of the same or greater ilevel. At that point the item will be fair game amongst all parties involved. So choose carefully what weapon configuration you want.
LOOT ADDON
To streamline the loot system described above, we use an addon "EGPG Lootmaster". We do not use the "EGPG" portion of the addon, just the framework for collecting data on who is interested in an item, and what ilevel gear it will be replacing. The addon works like this: When a boss dies, the loot will be sent to the addon, and everyone will get a window showing each item they could equip (the addon auto passes on stuff you can't use, like plate gear on a priest). For each item in the window, you select one of the following:
Main Spec - If the item will be an ilevel upgrade from what you currently have
Side Grade - If the item is the same ilevel from what you currently have, but better optimized for your class/spec
Off Spec - If you have an offset you are gearing up
Transmog - If you want if for transmog.
Pass - If you don't want the item at all.
After you have made a selection for each item, the loot window will disappear. The loot master will have a window that collects all the data for each item, what peoples responses are (MS, SG, etc), and what ilevel gear they are currently wearing. Another column auto-generates a /roll for each person on each item. This column is used to determine who will get an item when multiple people qualify and are of equal ilevel.
If anyone is caught putting on older gear to trick the loot master into giving them upgrades, they will be removed from raid, and likely from the guild. We will perform audits (Armory keeps a record of every item that a character receives) to ensure everyone is being honest with the system and if anyone suspects someone of cheating the system, please let an officer know and we'll investigate.
TRIAL PROCESS
The trial period will last a minimum of one month, it may take longer based on performance. During trial period you are expected to provide yourself with all the necessary items to be competitive in the raid environment. This includes addons, gems, enchants, flasks, pots, a reliable internet connection, and knowledge of all fights we have on farm + any progression bosses we are working on. Failure to do/have any of the above will probably result in demotion from the raid team.
HISTORY
Founded 26 November 2010, most of the leadership of the guild has been raiding together since Wrath of the Lich King and we are a mature laid-back group. We constantly strive to progress through new content with the minimal time we have on our raid schedule. This keeps us competitive and maintains a healthy amount of time for real life activities.
If you are interested in joining our team, feel free to message an officer (gen#1729) or fill out an application.
