The CBC has been around since 2007. We used to be a 25-man guild in BC and continued to raid as a 25-man guild through the entirety of MoP. With the coming of WoD, things have changed and 25-man raiding has gone the way of Old Yeller. It may be ruff, but we try to keep our raids large. It may give you paws at first, but we prefer the noisy atmosphere of larger raid groups for our main raid nights. And the flexible raid size of WoD lets us bring everyone, without being forced to bench our friends.

Our raid times are Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00pm-12:00am server (Eastern Standard Time). These are the only raids where we expect your attendance. Sometimes we run clean-up raids on Fridays, to down the bosses we skipped or missed during our regular raids. You’re welcome to join in on the fun when we run them. Other times, we run alt raids on weekends, but this depends on whether there is sufficient interest/availability.

We understand that REAL LIFE comes first. This is why we don’t aspire to be anything more than a casual raiding guild. And while we understand when you miss raids due to an emergency, please be respectful and give us a howl on the forums or lob a message at any officer in game if you are unable to attend a regular raid night. No raid leader likes doing invites and sitting around wondering why someone didn’t show, so don’t go barking up that tree.

Puns are pretty pathetic so for purely practical purposes their use is prohibited.

The atmosphere of our cohesive guild is casual and drama-free. As such, we consider ourselves a "seriously casual" raiding guild with a reasonable set of rules members adhere to. That is to say, we stick to a casual raid schedule of two nights a week. Since many of our members are bound up in work or classes the next day ... or spontaneously turn into pumpkins, we hardly ever raid past midnight. We like to have fun and make tacky jokes, you may even call them the glue that keeps us together, but when the pull timer counts down, we get down to business. Our Vent is sometimes a bit boisterous, so fall apart after listening to some of our more “friendly” raiders.

What we mean when we call ourselves a serious raiding guild is that we expect people arrive ready to raid. Repairs and flasks are provided by the guild bank, but you should arrive with any other consumables appropriate to your class and role. You are not expected to be the best in the world, but individual progression in your role is encouraged and expected. We make slow but steady progress each week, despite our 6 hour raiding schedule, and we usually expect to finish the tier on Heroic before the next tier is released, with maybe a little bit of time spent fooling around in Mythic.

Right now, we are looking for more DPS. We have always been a bit melee-heavy, so we would prefer ranged applicants, but good players are always considered before class/spec. If you’re a DPS player with a Healing off-spec - all the better! Our healing core is pretty solid but sometimes it’s good to have an extra healer or two, either because a healer didn’t show or because Blizzard decided to mess with us by suddenly requiring more healers on a fight.

Please be at least 18 years of age. We prefer raiding with people that are like us in mindset and mannerisms. The typical CBC raider is in their 30s - it gets awkward when the age gap is too big. The guild is where we kick back and relax. No one wants to tiptoe around for fear of hurt feelings.
