“Apex” Guild

About Us:

Apex is a relatively small, and closely knit 10 man guild. Obviously, we are a raiding guild first - and progressing on heroic mode encounters is important to us, as they present the real challenge in playing the game. However we are a guild that consists of mature players from all walks of life, many of who have responsibilities besides WoW, and as such we raid slightly less than most other guilds, but we try to be efficient with the time that we do raid. Aside from the raiding, we have a growing number of ex-raiders and friends within our ranks, this is something we hope to expand upon, as it’s more fun when there are more people online to chat with, which can often be a drawback with 10 man guilds.

What we are looking for:

We started out with the intention of having 10 core members that would raid most of the time, with a couple of friends filling in when and if required. As time has passed we’ve realised that is unrealistic. So we need 2-3 more people to allow us some flexibility, however it’s important to us that you want to be part of our community, as we feel it’s important to maintaining fun within the raids. This is one of the reasons we are being fairly non specific on what classes we are looking for, as we can be quite flexible, as a number of well geared alts that can allow us to take in the person who fits the best, and not the class.

Flexibility is also very important, being a 10 man guild - raid composition can make a HUGE difference to any given encounter, that’s why we expect our members to take their off-specs very seriously. Also, once we do have a few more members, there is the chance that we all might have to sit out a raid once in a while, be it due to rotation or, again - optimal raid composition.

What you can expect from us:

- Experienced raid leaders.
- Attempts at, and hopefully successful completion of end game content.
- Every raider to be putting in the same effort as you.
- To be treated fairly, priority on raid spots not given to longer serving members.
- All the usual stuff, Feasts/cauldrons etc.
- Guild repairs during raid times.
- Shards for high level enchants on appropriate weapons.

Raid Times:

Usual raid days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Usual raid times are 20:30 - 23:30

We may occasionally have to cancel a day, due to a shortage of numbers, in which case we will try to organise a raid on the Sunday to make up for it. But usually Fri, Sat and Sunday are ‘off-days’.

Loot rules:

Honestly as we are all grown-ups and know each other fairly well, we have always had our loot set to ‘Group Loot’. It’s served us well so far, people are expected to be fair with who they are competing with on loot, and if the situation arises where they are not it will be dealt with.

So just like a PuG it’s: Need for Main Spec, Greed for Off Spec. Otherwise it gets smashed for enchants. With BoEs, so far we have been selling them in order to fund guild bank repairs, unless the items are needed for our main characters.
