The Slackers are a new guild on Arathor EU, though the core players
who've started the guild are pretty much wow dinosaurs. The 2 GMs
(or Master Slackers as we have termed ourselves) have been playing
on and off since the release of Vanilla, and our core members (or
Veteran Slackers) have been around a very similar amount of time.
All of us met through wow, and we have been in guilds playing the
game together for a number of years.
What you can expect from us
-Friendly green chat for all guild members, including a decent amount of banter and the occasional (bad) dad-joke. Be aware that this can be fairly adult-themed (though never intimidating, more just light-hearted bants which includes the occasional amount of choice language). More often than not it’s just Paul and I bickering with one another (pre-requisite when the guild leaders are husband and wife) or someone taking the p*** out of my poor attention span or lack of direction.
-An opportunity to raid in a more relaxed, casual way
-An opportunity to run mythic+ dungeons in regular guild groups
-The occasional in-game social or just-for-fun event.
-Help for new or more casual players to find their way around the game, without the aggressive demands of the group finder systems.
-Equal opportunities for everyone in regards to access to content with the guild. Please note though - we do have some rules around how we handle more challenging content (continuous wipes and no progress gets frustrating even for the best of us)
How we raid
We tend to approach raiding at our own pace and in our own way (so for fun, but with the necessary dash of organised – though I use this term loosely). The overall raiding goal is always the same, and can be summed up as follows: Clear normal, then progress through Heroic and get ourselves ahead of the curve each tier. We may foray in to mythic for a boss or two (depending on time, progress, whether we're wiping on a HC boss and hating life, boredom etc.) but raiding mythic has never, and will never, be our intention so if this is what you're looking for then we are not for you.
We currently run 2 raid nights: Wednesday and Monday 20.30 - 23.00 server time
Beyond this, I'd just click the provided discord link, it has a ton of guild information - come have a nose around if curious or if it looks right for you:
