TCO is a semi-hardcore raiding guild with 3 weekly raids. Our goal
is to clear every raid tier before the next tier is released, i.e.
get the Cutting Edge achievement for each tier, while still having
fun with the game. We emphasize clear communication and positive
attitude
Attendance and sign-ups
Core Raid Team members are expected to have a minimum of 80% attendance and to show up for raids on time. Invites usually start 15 minutes before raid and the first pull should occur no later than 5 minutes past the raid’s start time. We are understanding of real life issues, but missing two or more raids over a period of two weeks with no explanation or warning will be seen as a failure to meet expectations.
Commitment and preparation
TCO is a mythic progression guild. We don’t really compete for progression ranks, but mythic raiding still requires players to try hard and be knowledgeable.
We expect our raiders to have an intimate knowledge of their class and how to maximize its performance. This includes optimal skill rotations, stat priority and stat balancing, BiS trinkets/items, situational talent choices etc. You should pay attention to patches and change your talents/rotation accordingly. You should also aim to complete the highest-level keystone required for the weekly loot chest each week.
During progression, raiders are expected to research boss encounters beforehand. This does not mean that an encyclopedic knowledge of tactics is required. Rather, you should have a general idea of how the encounter plays out, know what mechanics are in play and have your talents assigned according to what you expect will be required.
Consumables will sometimes be supplied by the guild bank but you should not expect it. Be prepared with your own each time.
Communication, attitude and loot
Mythic raiding is a team effort that requires iteration, collaborative improvement and learning from mistakes. Raiders must be prepared to take and use constructive criticism and give it if appropriate. Raiders must also understand that in the interest of progression, people will sometimes need to be swapped out for certain encounters.
Loot is handled by a fixed loot council and assigned with one primary guiding principle: enhancing the raid team’s performance. Loot should not be viewed as a reward or goal in and of itself. It is a tool used to enhance raid performance. Raiders with perfect attendance, solid class knowledge and good performance are much more likely to be assigned major upgrades than other, more unreliable raiders. With improved raid performance comes even more loot, so everyone should get their items eventually.
