<Leviathan> and the future.
We have been raiding as a guild since October 2012, and we've had a great 7 years of meeting great friends, and pushing hard progress as a community.
When myself and @Ryan founded <Leviathan> our goal was simple. We wanted a place where everyone would feel welcome, and a place where nerds could just be themselves.
Sure, Raiding was always on the cards for us, as we had both been raiding / raid leading for years before this, however we felt that the general atmosphere of the average raid guild just wasn't for us.
So we made our own, and to say it was just a success would be an understatement.
I believe we created the best community in WoW history, and i'm extremely proud of that.
At the moment after discussions with our officers, both past and present i've decided that its time for this to come to an end, its not fair on you amazing raiders to just say "lets have a break until 8.2" when i dont even know if i will return for 8.2 .... we've had a good run, and i've build friendships i plan on maintaining forever.
I'm not going to blame this on a dying game, or a lack of progress, for me i feel that i've outgrown the game that helped bring me up, and i cant dedicate the amount of time you would deserve to maintain a high standard of raiding, or even a fully functioning guild.
As you've seen, many of the officers have been trying to fill the void left by me, but this has not been working.
Our plan for the future is to be entirely community based, primarily through discord.
If we do raid again in either 8.2 or beyond it will be entirely casual and social based, with no real goal towards high end progression.
it is my great hope that you all remain here, even if you decide to raid elsewhere in BFA.
I love you all, and will always consider everyone on this server as more than just "internet" friends ... your my IRL friends, and the community i love.
