All raid spots in Scrutiny are open for competition at all times

Our goal is to live up to our name. In Scrutiny, we believe competition breeds success, and no one person is above the group. From the GM all the way down to the brand new recruit, our raid roster is an open competition, and that will never change. We will provide all the feedback, resources, advice, and criticism possible to make sure you are playing at the highest level you are capable of - and we strive for a fun and friendly atmosphere to reach that goal.

Our raid times are as follows:

Tuesday: 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM server time

Wednesday: 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM server time

Invites will go out at 8:15 and we ask that you be prepared to stay in the raid until about 11:45 if we are close on a progression fight and want to get that last attempt or two in on the night.

Who is Scrutiny?

Scrutiny is founded by real life friends who have been gaming together for over a decade, and playing WoW on and off since the launch of vanilla. In that time we have competed at high levels in many games and are always pushing ourselves to improve our gameplay. That being said, it’s a game not a job - we know our stuff and expect you to as well, but we don’t expect you to go on unemployment and play 18 hours a day. We are not looking to push top 50 world rankings, but we do fully intend to clear all mythic content in a timely fashion. Above all we believe that gaming should be fun first, and that starts with the people you play with, the environment you play in, and of course what you achieve in game.

What is expected of you as a member of Scrutiny?

Maturity: This one shouldn’t be hard. We like to have fun, joke around, and a lot of pretty dumb stuff will be said and done in the guild. However that has a time and a place, and you should be aware of that. Act like you belong here, and you probably will.

We have absolutely no tolerance for direct personal attacks or hateful comments, and will not accept that kind of toxicity in the guild. This includes being an elitist for no reason, this isn’t a dick measuring contest and we’re all here to have fun while we get stuff done.

Positive Mindset: We want you to want to be here. Happy players make for a better environment and a better experience for everyone in the guild. We all complain about loot and RNG from time to time, but if you are going to cry about wiping all night on mythic progression as we learn and progress, this isn’t the place for you.

Humility: Be ready to take criticism in a constructive fashion. You aren’t perfect, and neither are we, but we’re all trying to constantly get better. Feedback is a strong learning tool and should be taken advantage of. If you have suggestions, we’re always willing to listen, just make sure to bring them up in the right ways at the right times, use some common sense.

Independence: While we’re here to grow and progress together, we can’t babysit you through every encounter. Prove Illidan wrong, be prepared. That means consumables, knowing boss strats, watching guides before the raid, knowing how to sim your character and what your upgrades are, running mythic+ dungeons and world quests for upgrades outside of raids, leveling your Heart of Azeroth and not falling behind on that grind, and just generally being aware of how to play your spec.
