Old Pro was created out of a desire to form a raiding group that can allow for a more lax raid schedule, yet still be successful in getting through the raid content. We are not a guild about defeating the most difficult encounters in the game before anyone else, or worrying about how high we parsed on a boss kill. Our primary concern is building a raid group that genuinely enjoys playing the game with each other, and can complete the raid content in a reasonable time-frame while raiding a lower amount of hours.
Many of our raiders have been playing the game since it first was released. We have seen the game make a drastic swing towards a more casual format and want to run a raid group that can work in a similar fashion. Our raiders are all at a stage in their lives where careers and family are taking precedence over completing a raid boss. While we still want to complete the raid encounters, we understand that it can be done in a way that allows us to spend less time locked in an instance.
We work as a team to reach our goals, with the belief that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. When we raid we are working as one well oiled machine, rather than a bunch of people working for their own benefit. We consider loot to be a byproduct of our goals, which is to progress as a guild, experience “the end-game” and have fun while doing it.
