“Gibbets and Crows” Guild

Progress: We are a Heroic raiding guild that has hit all “Ahead Of The Curve” achievements since our founding in September of 2014 (at the beginning of WoD).

Schedule: Our schedule is pretty silly, but it’s what fit the availability of our current members. We’re going with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30pm server time (Pacific).

Style: G&C is a semi-casual raiding guild. We are casual in terms of attendance in that there are no set teams or penalty for missing raids. Loot is distributed via Personal Loot. We are not casual in expectations of raid performance. Raiders are expected to be prepared, pay attention, and perform well. We believe in having fun, but we don’t find racking up repair bills without making progress to be fun.

Environment: G&C is a very chill, laid back guild. It’s pretty quiet on non-raid days, but all of our folks are genuinely good people who don’t engage in the typical internet garbage. There’s no bigotry, misogyny, or hate speech allowed, but it’s something I never have to “enforce” because no one chooses to do it anyway. Female gamers will find a comfortable home here. In fact, two of the four founding members of the guild are female, and about a third of our current raid team is as well. To give you an idea of who some of your fellow members are like should you join us - I asked for any input towards writing this recruitment post from them on Discord. Here is a relevant sampling:

Jolly Warlock: Two words: wolf crotch
Raviyn: Meat crisis
Rey Jefe: Butt jokes, wolf crotch, and the fact that some of the core has been around on wow together for over a decade. And a group led by a velvet smooth voice like a Bob Ross of raiding.

(These are obviously guild inside jokes which I won’t bother to explain because they’re incredibly stupid.)

So, if you’d like to team up with a bunch of worthless idiots, we are your guild.

Class Needs: At this point we could use a third dedicated healer, a non-Paladin tank, and some dps. Tanks / healers would need to commit to making most of the scheduled raids.

Raiding with us: Though it is preferred, you do not have to join the guild to raid with us. If you’d like to run a raid or two as a trial or just prefer not to leave your current guild, that’s fine. Just contact us ahead of time and we’ll be happy to invite you along. Players raiding with the guild (as members, guests, or trials) should have significant raiding experience. We're not looking to train new raiders here. We use Discord for voice comms in raids.
